Qatar Participates in Meetings of Arab Parliament Committees

The meetings of the four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament, the political affairs committee, the economic affairs committee, the social affairs committee and the legislative affairs committee began on Tuesday in Cairo.

The State of Qatar participated in the meetings with a delegation of members of the Advisory Council.

The political affairs committee is considering the developments in the region and the periodic report on developments in political events in the Arab world.

The economic affairs committee is discussing a proposed study of a guiding law to achieve food security in the Arab world and a draft guiding law to attract Arab capital to the Arab world.

The legislative affairs committee is discussing a draft resolution on the "Masam" project on demining in Yemen and the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights in Yemen and the positions, conclusions, and recommendations of the experts' group.

The social affairs committee is reviewing the efforts made to implement the Arab media map for sustainable development 2030, as well as the convening of the first Arab cultural summit, the Arab unified standard law on higher education and scientific research, and follow up the arrangement for a workshop on refugees and displaced Arab women and children.
