Shura Council Speaker Holds Meetings on the Sidelines of 29th APU Conference

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met on Sunday with HE Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the President of the 29th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU) Eng. Atef Tarawneh, HE Speaker of the People's Assembly of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdulrahman and HE Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of the Sudan Prof.Ibrahim Ahmed Omer.
During these meetings held separately, the parliamentary relations of common interest were discussed as well as ways of strengthening and supporting them. These meetings, held on the sidelines of the 29th APU Conference, were attended by a number of Shura Council members. The conference began earlier today in Amman, and will continue for two days under the theme "Jerusalem: the Eternal Capital of the State of Palestine".
