Shura Council's Speaker Arrives in Serbia

HE the Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud arrived in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, on Friday, to head the delegation of the State of Qatar participating in the 141st General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union ( IPU) and the accompanying meetings scheduled to be held from 13 to 17 October.
The 141st General Assembly is held under the title "Strengthening International Cooperation: Roles and Parliamentary Mechanisms, and the Contribution of Regional Cooperation".
A number of topics will be discussed including the work of parliaments to maintain the international legal system as well as good practices that have contributed to maintaining and strengthening the international legal system and how to further highlight these practices, besides other relevant topics.
