Speaker of Shura Council Meets Parliamentary Officials

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met here Saturday with HE Speaker of National Assembly in the Kingdom of Bhutan Wangchuk Namgyel, on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

During the meeting, they reviewed the existing parliamentary relations between the two countries and ways of boosting them, in addition to the most important topics on the agenda of the meeting.

For his part, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bhutan voiced his country's welcoming and support to the State of Qatar's joining of the APA.

The meeting was attended by a number of the Shura Council members.

HE Speaker of the Shura Council also met with HE Head of the Turkish Delegation to the APA Asuman Erdogan, on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

During the meeting, they reviewed the existing parliamentary relations between the two brotherly countries, ways of further boosting them, as well as the most important topics on the agenda of the APA Executive Council meeting.

For her part, HE Head of the Turkish Delegation to the APA welcomed and supported the State of Qatar's joining of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

The meeting was attended by a number of the Shura Council members.

On the sideline of the first meeting of the Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud also met with a number of heads of delegations participating in the meeting.

HE Al Mahmoud met with Their Excellences heads of delegations of the State of Kuwait; the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
