Shura Council, French Parliament to Strengthen Parliamentary Relations

The Qatari-European parliamentary friendship group at the Shura Council held a meeting on Thursday with delegation from the French-Gulf friendship group headed by Chairman of the select committee on foreign affairs, defense and armed forces at the French Senate Christian Cambon, currently visiting Doha.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and means of supporting and developing them in various fields. They also discussed relations between the Shura Council and the French Parliament and promoting joint parliamentary cooperation.

Members of the French parliamentary delegation praised the economic, cultural and legislative development seen in the country under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the great development in the Qatari-French relations.

The delegation included member of Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly and head Qatari-European friendship group Pascal Brando and head of the French-Gulf friendship group Jean Marie Boukil.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Shura Council.
