Speaker of Shura Council Meets Turkish and Ugandan Counterparts

HE the Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met on Thursday with HE Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Sentop, on the sidelines of his participation in the 42nd Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the African Parliamentary Union (APU).

During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of cooperation and bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in the parliamentary field and discussed the most important topics on the agenda of the conference.

His Excellency Mustafa Sentop expressed his happiness to HE the Speaker of the Shura Council on the occasion of the State of Qatar to become an observer member of the African Parliamentary Union.

HE Speaker of the Shura Council also met with HE Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda Rebecca Kadaga.

During the meeting, they reviewed the existing parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Uganda and discussed the most important topics on the agenda of the conference.

Her Excellency expressed her happiness to HE the Speaker of the Shura Council on the occasion of the State of Qatar to become an observer member of the African Parliamentary Union.

The meetings were attended by a number of Shura Council members and Acting Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Djibouti Faisal bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.
