The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Qatar–Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Shura Council, chaired by His Excellency Engineer Ahmed bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi, Chair of the Group, held a meeting today with its counterpart at the Thai Senate, which is currently visiting the country, chaired by His Excellency Mr. Premsak Piayura, Chair of the Group.
At the outset of the meeting, members of the Qatar–Thailand Friendship Group welcomed their counterparts from the Thai Senate, affirming the strong relations that unite the two friendly countries and peoples, and commending the important role played by friendship groups in enhancing parliamentary cooperation.
For its part, the Thailand–Qatar Friendship Group expressed its appreciation for the warm reception, emphasizing the importance of reciprocal visits in supporting the parliamentary partnership between the two sides.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between them, develop channels of communication, and exchange parliamentary expertise, in addition to discussing a number of topics and coordinating positions on issues of mutual interest to be presented at upcoming parliamentary conferences.
