Shura Council Participates in Arab Parliamentary Meeting on Combating Violence Against Women

he Shura Council is participating in the annual meeting of the Coalition of Women Parliamentarians from Arab countries to combat violence against women. The meeting is taking place in Amman and will last for two days.
The Shura Council is represented at the meeting by HE member of the Council Sheikha bint Yousef Al Jufairi.
The meeting will discuss a number of issues related to women and efforts to protect and support them, including the Arab Declaration to End All Forms of Violence against Women and Girls, and the chances of women succeeding in elections in the Arab region.
The meeting will also discuss the coalition's strategy and work plan for the next stage, as well as reviewing the summary of the annual report of the coalition's activities for the past year.
