The Shura Council State of Qatar

As part of Qatar’s participation in the observance of World Autism Awareness Day, which is marked annually on April 2, the Shura Council illuminated its building in blue, in solidarity with the global campaign supporting autism awareness.
It is worth noting that the designation of April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day was the result of a proposal submitted by the State of Qatar and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2007.
This year’s observance aims to recognize the valuable contributions of individuals with autism to their communities and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
