Shura Council Participates in the 55th Meeting of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean

The Shura Council participated today in the 55th meeting of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), which was held via videoconference.
The Council was represented at the meeting by H.E. Abdullah bin Nasser bin Turki Al Subaie, Member of the Shura Council and Vice President of the PAM.
The meeting discussed key developments in the region, focusing on political and humanitarian issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, where the PAM reaffirmed the need for a just and lasting political solution, respect for international law, an end to attacks on civilians, and urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, highlighting the suffering of children and women.
The meeting also addressed issues of migration and sustainable development, stressing the importance of economic and social development. It reviewed upcoming parliamentary activities, including preparations for the 2026 International Migration Review Conference.
Participants further discussed upcoming training plans for parliamentarians, cooperation with international institutions, and the PAM’s preparations for participating in upcoming international meetings, especially the World Parliamentary Conference in Rome.
