Advisory Council Approves Report on Status of Judicial Seizure

The Advisory Council held Monday its regular weekly session under the chairmanship of HE Deputy Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti.

At the outset of the session, the Council discussed the report of the Services and Public Utilities Committee on the general debate request on the status of judicial seizure included in the Consumer Protection Law and other laws that grant some employees the status of law enforcement officers, with a view to addressing the shortcomings of the judicial control works and enabling them to achieve their goals.

The Council approved the Committee's report and decided to refer its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet.

In addition, the Advisory Council postponed to the next session, the discussion of the report of the Services and Public Utilities Committee about the discussions which took place between the Council members and each of the President of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) and HE the President of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) in the 23rd session held on April 23, 2018. The session discussed the work progress in the infrastructure projects being implemented in the country and the achievements done, as well as the plans and programs for the coming period and the obstacles that may hinder the work and ways of addressing them.
