The Shura Council State of Qatar

 His Excellency Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Martin Chungong, Secretary-General of the Inter‑Parliamentary Union, who is currently visiting the country to attend the second World Summit for Social Development, which concludes today in Doha. 
During the meeting, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two sides were reviewed, and prospects for developing relations in ways that serve their mutual interests were discussed. The two sides also affirmed the importance of exchanging expertise and reviewing successful experiences in the field of parliamentary administrative work. 
His Excellency also met with His Excellency Mr. Elias Castillo, Secretary-General of the Parlatino – Latin American and Caribbean Parliament, who is also visiting the country.  The two discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest.
