The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Shura Council participated in a seminar organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) via videoconferencing, entitled “Strategic Actions Toward Artificial Intelligence Governance.”
The Council was represented in the seminar by His Excellency Mr. Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Obaidan, Member of the Shura Council.
The seminar addressed institutional processes that enhance the benefits of artificial intelligence while reducing its risks, as well as strategies for establishing an effective and robust AI system that strikes a balance between operational needs, innovation, and ethical considerations.
The seminar also reviewed successful practical experiences in the field of artificial intelligence presented by several national parliaments, contributing to the dissemination of best practices and the effective and reliable use of this technology in parliamentary work.
