The Shura Council State of Qatar

His Excellency Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, met today with His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Dakhel Al Mutairi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is currently visiting the country as part of the visit undertaken by the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council to Doha.
During the meeting, a number of topics related to strengthening cooperation between the two General Secretariats were reviewed, and ways to develop mechanisms for supporting joint parliamentary work were discussed, in addition to examining means of exchanging expertise and reviewing administrative and legislative experiences between the two sides.
The two sides also addressed recent developments in cooperation between the two councils in light of the memorandum of understanding signed yesterday, and reviewed mechanisms for following up on the implementation of what was agreed upon during the official consultative session, in a manner that ensures enhanced coordination and activation of joint work tracks during the coming phase.
