The Shura Council State of Qatar

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met Sunday with HE Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State of Libya Aguila Saleh, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the situation in Libya and ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, HE the Speaker of the Shura Council affirmed the State of Qatar's support for everything that would achieve peace and stability in Libya and its keenness on the sovereignty and unity of its territory, achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people for security and stability, and achieving national reconciliation among all its components, as well as full support for the relevant Security Council resolutions.

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Libya expressed thanks and appreciation for the steadfast and supportive stances of the State of Qatar for the Libyan people and its constructive efforts to restore harmony and stability to Libya, preserve its interests, and achieve the aspirations of its people.
