Deputy Speaker of Shura Council Meets Chairman of Senate Committee on Defense and Security of Uzbekistan, UNOCT Deputy Director

HE Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met on Wednesday with HE Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kotbedin Burkhanov, and HE Deputy Director of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Mauro Miedico, on the sidelines of their participation in the discussions of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism Program on Parliamentary Engagement in Preventing and Countering Terrorism in Doha.
During the two meetings, which were held separately, they reviewed the existing bilateral relations between the Shura Council, the Senate of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, and discussed a number of issues related to joint coordination and ways to enhance it.
