Shura Council Speaker Participates in Two Arab Parliamentary Conferences

The Shura Council is participating in the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Fourth Conference of the Arab Parliament with a delegation headed by HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.


The three-day 32nd conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union starts Thursday in Cairo under the title "Arab solidarity." It reviews several topics on the agenda, including the formation of union committees, a review of the reports of previous sessions of the Executive Committee, the report of the President of the Union on the activity of the Executive Committee and the report of the Secretary-General on the status and activities of the Union.


The Fourth Conference of the Arab Parliament kicks off on February 19 under the title "the role of parliamentarians in achieving security and stability in the Arab world." It will discuss a number of topics and issues of concern to the Arab world and the role entrusted to parliamentarians in this regard.


HE the Speaker of the Shura Council arrived Wednesday in Cairo to participate in the two aforementioned conferences, where he and his accompanying delegation were received at Cairo International Airport by HE Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Asoomi and HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi.
