Shura Council Speaker Renews Qatar's Call to Address Problems' Roots That Lead to Conflicts, Terrorism

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim renewed the call of the State of Qatar to address the roots of the problems that lead to wars, conflicts, terrorism, and extremism in the Arab region and throughout the world, stressing the State of Qatar's belief in the unity of the Arab nation, which is structured on chivalry and love of good for all and the virtues and brotherhood that our religion urges.
This came in a speech delivered today by HE Speaker of the Shura Council at the opening session of the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Cairo under the title "Arab Solidarity." His Excellency referred to the efforts made by the State of Qatar to reform and mediate between the parties and the disputants, whether between states or between the components of a single state. He also referred to the Qatari initiatives for educating young men and girls and providing youth employment programs in conflict areas.
He drew attention to the tensions and instability that many Arab countries are witnessing, which led to the call for this conference to revive Arab solidarity.
He said that the Arab world unity and solidarity have been subjected to violent tremors and differences have occurred between its countries and governments over their positions on the Palestinian issue and on ways to achieve peace with the usurping entity, adding that for seven decades, the Arab countries have been victims of the machinations of the common enemy, its sponsors, and protectors.
His Excellency referred to the Israeli practices against the Palestinians, pointing out that the issue of the occupied Arab lands should be a top priority. He called for ensuring the support of the Palestinian people to recover their full right on their land in accordance with international resolutions, laws, charters, and 2002 Arab peace agreements.
HE Speaker of the Shura Council stressed that achieving a just peace will achieve stability for all, contribute to the launch of the production wheel and achieve a renaissance.
He underlined the importance that heritage, religion, and a common destiny remain a bond that unites and strengthens the Arab solidarity, adding that disagreement is an eternal tradition between human beings yet they can overcome these disagreements by adhering to the bonds of unity, pride, and dignity.
Also, His Excellency pointed to the plots of the enemies of the Arab and Islamic nations, and the wars and nihilistic conflicts that the region has witnessed and is still witnessing.
He added that the sanctities of the Muslims have become violated because of the temptations planted by the enemies, particularly the occupying entity, which spread all evil in the Arab countries. He stressed the importance of solidarity, cooperation, and coordination of efforts to support the brothers on the front line, recalling the duty towards them, and warning that despair may permeate the long wait for victory and relief.
He warned of the need to pay attention to the people, provide them with a decent life, arrange the internal conditions, fight corruption and injustice, achieve justice and equality, to ensure security and stability, and beware of the enemies of the Arab region and their plans to create strife between countries.
HE Speaker of the Shura Council thanked and appreciated the presidency and secretariat of the Union for the good organization of the conference, wishing it success to achieve the results that serve all countries and enhance solidarity and unity.
On the sidelines of the conference, HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met with HE Speaker of the Algerian People's National Assembly Ibrahim Boughali.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations in the parliamentary field and ways to enhance them. Also, they reviewed several topics on the conference's agenda and ways to enhance joint Arab action.
