The Shura Council State of Qatar

On the occasion of the National Day HE Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud, the Secretary General of the Shura Council, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, to His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and to the Qatari people .
His Excellency explained that the National Day is a national occasion to recall the deep-rooted values, on which the country was founded. It is a time to renew pride in the national identity, and to recall the trajectory of renaissance that was attained under the leadership of the founding father,  Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, may his soul rest in peace. It was continued by the successive generations, who consolidated and developed it, until the country has reached the progress and prosperity it enjoys today.
His Excellency stressed that the slogan of this year's National Day, "By you it ascends and from you it awaits", reflects the national approach that makes the human being the center and goal of development. It reflects the confidence in the capabilities of young people and their role in supporting the sustainability of the renaissance and promoting the trajectory of progress in various fields.
He pointed out that this occasion represents an opportunity to affirm the unity of rank and cohesion between the leadership and the people, and to promote the values of belonging and loyalty to the country, in a way that contributes to preserving and building on national gains to face future challenges.
His Excellency concluded his statement wishing the State of Qatar continued prosperity and development, stressing that the nation's trajectory is proceeding steadily under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir.
