The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Social Affairs, Labour and Housing Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting today, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Hassan Al-Dhabit Al-Dossari, Chair of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Committee continued its discussion of the request for a general debate regarding “the importance of the role of parents in raising children,” in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, who responded to the inquiries and remarks of the Committee members concerning the matter. The Committee decided to continue its study of the topic at a forthcoming meeting.
The Committee also reviewed the esteemed Government’s statement regarding the motion of desire expressed by the Shura Council concerning the launch of a summer work programme for secondary-school students, which had been referred to it by the Council, and decided to submit its report thereon to the Council.
