Speaker of the Canadian Senate Arrives to Doha

H.E. Mr. George Furey, Speaker of Canada's Senate, arrived in Doha this evening for a working visit to the country.
Upon the arrival of H.E. Speaker of Canada’s Senate and the accompanying delegation, they were welcomed by H.E. Speaker of the Shura Council Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, a number of Their Excellencies members of the Council, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council, and Her Excellency Mrs. Isabelle Marie Catherine Martin, Canadian Ambassador to the country.
The visit is scheduled to include a meeting between the Shura Council and the Senate of Canada to review cooperation in parliamentary areas and ways to support and strengthen it.
