The Shura Council State of Qatar

H.E. Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, met today with H.E. Mr. Alexander Babakov, Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting reviewed parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the State Duma and discussed ways to support and develop them. A number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed, particularly in the areas of parliamentary cooperation and coordination of positions in parliamentary forums.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Ali Al-Khater, Member of the Shura Council and Chair of the Internal and External Affairs Committee, along with H.E. Mr. Badi bin Ali Al-Badi, H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi, and H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Sada, Members of the Council.
Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Arrives in Doha

H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Republic of Iraq, arrived in Doha today on an official visit to the country in response to an invitation from the Shura Council.
He was received upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council.
Also present to receive the delegation were H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chair of the Qatari-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Council, and H.E. Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al-Mahmoud, Secretary-General of the Council.
