Health and Public Services Committee of the Shura Council Discusses the Issue of “Childhood Obesity”

The Committee on Health, Public Services and the Environment of the Shura Council held a meeting today, chaired by His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser bin Turki Al-Subaie, Chair of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Committee discussed the request for a general discussion submitted by a number of Their Excellencies members regarding “the prevalence of obesity among children in the State of Qatar,” which had been referred to it by the Council. At the conclusion of its meeting, the Committee decided to continue its study at a forthcoming meeting.
