The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Shura Council participated today in a parliamentary seminar organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union via videoconference, under the theme “From victims to voices: Advancing prevention through justice, resilience and parliamentary action,” on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism.
The Shura Council was represented at the seminar by H.E. Dr. Mona bint Abdulrahman Al Musallamani, Member of the Shura Council.
The seminar, which brought together parliamentarians from various national parliaments and regional parliamentary organizations, alongside international organizations, experts, and representatives of victims’ organizations, discussed the role of parliaments in advancing the rights of victims of terrorism by translating legislative standards into practical support for victims of terrorism and facilitating their access to justice. Participants also exchanged good legislative and policy practices in this area.
