The Shura Council Participates in the Meetings of the Arab Parliament's Permanent Committees

The Shura Council participated in the meetings of the Arab Parliament's permanent committees, currently taking place in Jordan.


The council participated in the meeting of the permanent for foreign affairs and national security, represented by member of the committee Hamad bin Abdullah Al Molla. The meeting dealt with the Arab world's political and security developments over the past period, and a number of issues related to establishing peace and security in the Arab World.


The council also participated in the meeting of the financial and economic affairs committee, represented by member of the committee Eissa bin Ahmed Al Nasr. The meeting dealt with reviewing economic developments in the Arab world for 2021, and the ways to enhance economic integration between Arab countries. The committee also approved the Arab Parliament's budget.


The Shura Council participated in the committee of legislative and legal affairs, and human rights. The council was represented by member of the committee Salem bin Rashid Al Muraikhi. The committee discussed human rights condition in the Arab world during 2021, and reviewed developments related to protecting the rights of prisoners among other legislations related to human rights in the region.


The Shura Council also participated in the meeting of the permanent committee for legal and culture affairs, women, and youth. The council was represented by member of the committee Sheikha bint Youssef Al Jufairi.


The meeting dealt with examining mechanisms that supports legislation on protecting the environment, and on protecting the Arabic language. The committee also reviewed developments of social conditions in the Arab World for 2021.
