The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Shura Council participated in the coordination meeting of representatives of the legislative councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, held today via videoconferencing. The meeting took place in preparation for the upcoming session of the Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which will be hosted by Moscow at the end of October.
The Shura Council was represented in the meeting by His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi and His Excellency Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Sada, both members of the Council.
The meeting discussed ways to coordinate positions and perspectives among GCC councils regarding the items on the Committee’s agenda, in a manner that enhances the unified Gulf stance in Asian parliamentary forums.
