Re-election of a Shura Council Member as Vice-President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly

The Asian Parliamentary Assembly has elected His Excellency Eng. Ahmad bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi, a member of the Shura Council, as the Vice-President of the Assembly and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Budget and Planning for 2025.
His Excellency was elected to this position for the second consecutive time during the voting process that took place on the sidelines of the 15th General Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, held last week in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. This reflects the confidence of Asian countries in the Shura Council and its role within this organization.
It is worth noting that the Asian Parliamentary Assembly comprises 45 parliaments as permanent members, in addition to 14 unions and 10 observer countries.
