Shura Council Participates in AIPU's Executive Committee Meeting

The Shura Council participated Sunday in the 37th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), held at the Arab League's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
HE Member of the Shura Council and Member of the Executive Committee of the AIPU Dr. Sultan bin Hassan Al Dhabet Al Dosari represented the Shura Council at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the report of the AIPU Secretary-General and the report of the special committee tasked with studying the AIPU's charter and deciding on its permanent headquarters.
They also discussed the urgent item that will be submitted by the Arab Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union during the 150th session of its General Assembly, which will be hosted in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in April.
HE Dr. Sultan Al Dosari had previously participated in the Gulf Coordination Meeting held in Cairo, to coordinate the stances of the GCC countries participating in the Executive Committee meeting.
