The Shura Council State of Qatar

Today, in the Egyptian capital Cairo, the second plenary session of the second ordinary session of the fourth legislative term of the Arab Parliament was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
At the beginning of the session, the Members of the Shura Council took the oath to join the Arab Parliament, namely: Her Excellency Ms. Amina bint Yousuf Al-Jaidah; His Excellency Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Nuaimi; His Excellency Mr. Mubarak bin Mohammed Al-Matr Al-Kuwari; and His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi.
The session reviewed a number of items included on the agenda, most notably organizational and electoral procedures related to the bodies of the Arab Parliament, within the framework of completing the institutional arrangements of the current session, in addition to the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Arab Parliament and the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and the review of the reports of the standing committees.
The session also discussed the report of the Palestine Committee and its presentation of developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as draft resolutions related to the Palestinian cause, within the framework of the Arab Parliament’s follow-up on developments in the Palestinian issue and its political and rights-based positions thereon.
In a related context, Members of the Shura Council had attended meetings of the standing committees of the Arab Parliament, which discussed a number of political, legislative, economic, and social topics included on their agendas, as well as issues of joint Arab cooperation and sectoral performance reports.
Within this framework, Her Excellency Ms. Amina bint Yousuf Al-Jaidah attended the meeting of the Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women’s and Youth Affairs; His Excellency Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Nuaimi attended the meeting of the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs; His Excellency Mr. Mubarak bin Mohammed Al-Matr Al-Kuwari attended the meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and National Security; and His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi attended the meeting of the Committee on Legislative and Legal Affairs and Human Rights.
