The Shura Council State of Qatar

H.E. Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, met today with a parliamentary delegation from the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha of the Republic of India, headed by H.E. Mrs. Supriya Sule, President of the Nationalist Congress Party in the Lok Sabha, currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed parliamentary relations between the two countries and discussed ways to strengthen and develop them, in addition to addressing several issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Council’s headquarters, where they were briefed on the working mechanisms and the modern technologies used in managing sessions. The tour also included a visit to the documentation exhibition, which features artifacts and documents chronicling the Council’s journey since its establishment and highlighting key milestones in its development.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Engineer Ahmed bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi, Member of the Shura Council and Chair of the Qatari-Indian Parliamentary Friendship Group, along with H.E. Mr. Badi bin Ali Al-Badi, H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Sulaiti, and H.E. Mr. Essa bin Ahmed Al-Nasr, Members of the Council.
