The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Social Affairs, Labour and Housing Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting today, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Hassan Al-Dhabit Al-Dossari, Chair of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Committee discussed the esteemed Government’s statement regarding the motion of desire expressed by the Shura Council concerning “the provision of services and privileges for the category of senior citizens,” which had been referred to it by the Council. The Committee decided to submit its report, including its opinion on the aforementioned statement, to the Council.
The Committee also continued its study of the request for a general discussion regarding “the importance of the role of parents in raising children,” in the presence of representatives from the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and the Ministry of Labour, who responded to the inquiries and remarks of Their Excellencies members on the aforementioned matter. At the conclusion of its meeting, the Committee decided to continue its study at a forthcoming meeting.
