Shura Council Participates in Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 through Democracy, Human Rights Meeting

The Shura Council has participated on Wednesday in a parliamentary meeting entitled "Overcoming the Epidemic and Building a Better Tomorrow: The Role of Parliaments", which was held by the Permanent Committee for Democracy and Human Rights of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), via video conference.
Discussions during the meeting focused on exchanging experiences between parliamentarians on how to mitigate the effects of the epidemic on democracy and human rights, as democracies faced many challenges, especially during Covid-19 pandemic.
The Shura Council was represented at the meeting by HE member of the Shura Council, member of the Permanent Committee for Democracy and Human Rights in the Inter-Parliamentary Union Dahlan bin Jaman Al-Hamad.
