Shura Council Partakes in Arab Parliament's Plenary Session in Cairo

 The Shura Council participated in the 5th session of the 1st sitting of the 4th legislative term of the Arab Parliament, which was held in Cairo.

The session addressed pressing Arab issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and regional developments, in addition to various social, economic, and legislative matters.

The Council was represented at the session by HE Shaikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi, HE Essa bin Ahmad Al Nassr, HE Salem bin Rashid Al Meraikhi, and HE Hamad bin Abdulla Al Mulla, all members of the Shura Council and the Arab Parliament.

During his speech at the plenary session, HE Essa bin Ahmad Al Nassr reiterated the State of Qatar's condemnation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' missile attack targeting Al-Udeid Air Base, describing it as a blatant violation of the State of Qatar's sovereignty. His Excellency also stressed the State of Qatar's commitment to the principle of good neighborliness, as well as its calls for respect for international law and resorting to dialogue as the only means to resolve conflicts.

Members of the Shura Council also took part in the meetings of the Arab Parliament's standing committees, which reviewed developments across the Arab world and discussed key issues related to political, legislative, economic, and social affairs, as part of supporting joint Arab parliamentary action and enhancing coordination mechanisms between legislative bodies.
