Shura Council Participates in Parliamentary Dialogue on Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention

The Shura Council participated in a parliamentary dialogue that was held on Monday via videoconferencing under the title "Towards the full implementation of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention," organized by the Implementation Support Unit (ISU) at the International Parliamentary Union, which serves as the secretariat for the Convention.
HE Shura Council Member Mohammed bin Fahad Al Mesallam represented the Shura Council in the dialogue.
The dialogue aimed to raise awareness about the status and challenges of the Convention, in addition to the importance of national implementation measures.
During the dialogue, the participants also discussed a number of axes related to the Convention, including how to effectively implement them and the role of national initiatives in that regard.
