Shura Council Participates in Parliamentary Conference on Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism Amid Covid-19

The Shura Council participated in a parliamentary conference titled "Countering Terrorism in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic", within the framework of the partnership among the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) and the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), which was held via video conferencing technology.
The conference's discussions focused on exchanging views between the participating parliamentarians regarding how to keep counter-terrorism efforts on the highest agendas of governments, in light of the coronavirus epidemic and after its end, in addition to enhancing parliamentary cooperation at the global level to face the current challenges.
The Shura Council was represented at this conference by HE Dahlan Bin Jamaan Al Hamad, member of the Shura Council.
