Speaker of Shura Council Meets First Vice President of Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan

HE the Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdulla bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met today with HE First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, HE the Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed HE Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, wishing the relations of the two countries continued progress and development.

For his part, HE First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir, the government and the people of the State of Qatar, for their support and assistance to the Sudanese people in various fields. Lt. General Dagalo said that the Sudanese people in general and the people of Darfur in particular will not forget the appreciated and kind efforts made by H. E. Ahmed Bin Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud for establishing peace and development in Darfur, which led to signing of the Doha Document for Darfur Peace in July 2011.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between the two sisterly countries and exchanged views on number of common issues.

The meeting was attended by HE Deputy Speaker of Shura Council Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Sulaiti, and HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Sudan Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Ali Al Kubaisi.
