Dr. Al-Fadala chairs the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association of Arab Parliaments

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Fadala, President of the Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, chaired the fortieth meeting of the Association’s Executive Committee, which was held at the Association’s headquarters in Kuwait last Thursday.

During the meeting, a number of topics on the agenda were discussed and discussed, and amendments to the association’s bylaws were also discussed. The attendees decided to assign a drafting team to amend the bylaws and prepare its report to be presented to the next meeting of the committee.

During the meeting, changing the association's logo was discussed, as the attendees agreed to keep the current one and present their proposals regarding changes to the logo at the next General Assembly meeting.

  On the other hand, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Fadala, President of the Association, stressed during the meeting the necessity of developing the Association’s website so that it is compatible with the Association’s important and significant role at the Arab and international level, in unifying visions and ideas and achieving coordination and integration between Arab parliaments.

On the other hand, the President of the Association received the ambassadors of Morocco and Jordan to Kuwait, each separately, at the Association’s headquarters.

Where His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Fadala received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Kuwait, Ali bin Issa. During the meeting, ways of parliamentary cooperation between the Assembly and the Kingdom of Morocco were discussed, and the role of the Association of Arab Parliaments was emphasized in its role in defending issues of concern to the Arab peoples by issuing statements on issues of the Arab world.

The President of the Assembly thanked the Ambassador of Morocco for inviting the Moroccan House of Representatives and the Speaker of the House of Advisors to visit the Kingdom of Morocco, to learn about the parliamentary experience and its history.

The President of the Association, Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser bin Ibrahim Al-Fadala, also met with the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Sinan Al-Majali, at the Association’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they talked about ways to strengthen parliamentary relations in general between the Assembly and the Senate and House of Representatives in Jordan, extending sincere thanks to the Jordanian Ambassador for inviting the President of the Assembly to visit the Kingdom of Jordan through the Jordanian House of Representatives.

The two meetings were attended by the Secretary-General of the Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments, Mr. Jassim Al-Nisf.
