The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Public Services and Utilities Committee of the Shura Council, during its meeting held today under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Yousef Al-Khulaifi, Chairman of the Committee, hosted His Excellency Dr. Saad bin Ahmed Al-Muhannadi, Chairman of the Public Works Authority “Ashghal,” and a number of the Authority’s specialists, to discuss the topic of “Rainwater Catchment.” And the losses it causes.”

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the procedures and measures taken by the Ashghal Authority to overcome this problem. The head of the authority also responded to the committee’s inquiries and questions about the aforementioned topic, and the committee decided at the end of the meeting to submit its report on it to the Council.

It is noteworthy that the Shura Council had raised the topic of “rainwater Catchment” as a request for general discussion, and after discussing it, the Council referred it to the Public Services and Utilities Committee to study it and provide it with its report on it.
