Qatari-Kyrgyz Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman to QNA: HH the Amir's Visit to Bishkek Promotes Cooperation Between Asian Countries

HE Shura Council Member and Chairman of Qatari-Kyrgyz Parliamentary Friendship Group, Eng. Ahmed bin Hitmi Al Hitmi stressed the importance of the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thanis visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of his tour of a number of countries in Central Asia, praising the keenness of His Highness on strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the State of Qatar and various countries worldwide.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency said the visit of HH the Amir to the Kyrgyz Republic is of special importance as it comes at a time when the two countries are marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relationships. His Excellency added that the two sides have been in continuous multi-level communication, including the parliamentary affairs.

He highlighted the historic ties between the Gulf region and Central Asia and their resulting cultural and civilizational communication among peoples, as well as trade relations, given the outstanding geographical location of both regions. His Excellency highlighted the deep-rooted fraternal relationships between the peoples in the Gulf region and Kyrgyzstan.

He stressed the Shura Council's keenness to enhance and consolidate relations with the Kyrgyz Parliament, highlighting the numerous meetings that brought together Shura Council delegations and Kyrgyz lawmakers, whether in Doha or in regional and international parliamentary forums, in a way that reflects the keenness of the two sides to coordinate positions on various issues of concern to the two countries and the Arab and Islamic worlds.

HE the Shura Council member concluded his remarks to QNA by stressing that the Qatari-Kyrgyz Parliamentary Friendship Group will contribute to the development of parliamentary work between the two countries, enhance the exchange of expertise, and raise the level of coordination on various pressing issues on the agenda of parliamentary activities in a bid to unify visions and attitudes towards it.
