The Economic and the Financial AffairsCommittee of the Shura Council holds its first meeting in the third session

The Economic and the Financial Affairs Committee of the Shura Council held its first meeting today in the third ordinary session of the first legislative chapter, corresponding to the fifty-second annual session, under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Mohamed bin Yousef Almana, Chairman of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Committee discussed the draft State budget for fiscal year 2024 and a draft law adopting the State's general budget, and decided to complete its study of the projects at its next meeting.
During the meeting, the Committee also continued its study of the general discussion request regarding “Benefiting from Retirees in the Labor Market,” which was submitted by a number of Their Excellencies Council members in the last session, and the Council referred it to the Committee for study. In this regard, the committee reviewed the responses of the competent authorities to their inquiries related to the aforementioned topic, and decided to complete its study of the topic at its next meeting.
