The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Shura Council participated in the 45th conference of the International Women's Empowerment and Capacity Building (Tamkeen), held in the State of Kuwait for three days under the title 'new reading of the challenges facing women's empowerment for sustainable development.'

HE Member of the Shura Council Shaikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi represented the State of Qatar to the conference.

The conference discussed several topics related to the efforts of women empowerment. Participants stressed the necessity to support Palestinian women in the face of the forms of violence they are exposed to, praising their distinguished role in defending their homeland.

In this regard, HE Shaikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi drew attention to the suffering that women and children in Palestine are subjected to due to the brutal attack by the occupation forces, as well as the targeting of hospitals and schools. Her Excellency stressed that the leadership and people of the State of Qatar pay this issue great attention and have made great efforts to achieve a humanitarian pause, looking forward to reaching a quick solution to this crisis.

HE Shaikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi participated in the fourth session, held within the framework of the conference, which discussed empowering women politically and enhancing their leadership role.

During the session, Her Excellency highlighted the role of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, and Her Highness' efforts within the framework of political work, empowering women, and supporting issues of women, children, and youth, pointing out to the various initiatives launched by Her Highness locally and globally, as well as Her Highness sponsorship of women's conferences that address their issues and develop solutions to the problems and challenges they face in the labor market.
