Shura Council Participates in Palestine Committee of Arab Parliament Meeting

The Shura Council has participated in the meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament that was held on Wednesday in Cairo in preparation for the second session within the third session of the Arab Parliament's third legislative term scheduled for Saturday.
HE Member of the Shura Council and member of the Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament Shaikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi represented the Shura Council in the meeting.
During the meeting, the committee discussed latest developments in the Palestinian territories and the grave escalation by the far-right government and settlers against the Palestinian people. It also discussed Arab Parliament's efforts and action to support the Palestinian cause, adopt Palestine Solidarity Campaign to support the Palestinian stance in the international forums.
The committee affirmed its full support to Palestinian Parliamentary diplomacy in the Arab Parliament to support the Palestinian cause in the international forums and meetings of regional and international parliaments, in addition to highlighting the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people as a result of the oppression of the occupation forces.
In this context, the committee concurred on several decisions to be submitted to the Arab Parliament in its upcoming session regarding the support for Palestine and issues of prisoners and detainees, growing settlements, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which are the right of return, self-determination and the establishment of their independent and sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital.
