Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council meets with Swiss parliamentarians

Her Excellency Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, met today with His Excellency Mr. Hans Peter Portmann, Member of the National Council, and His Excellency Mr. Eric Ettlin, Member of the Council of States of the Federal Assembly (Parliament) of the Swiss Confederation, who are currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to parliamentary cooperation relations between the two sides and ways to enhance them were reviewed.
The meeting also touched on the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the need to make the necessary efforts to mobilize parliamentary efforts to protect civilians, and adherence to international humanitarian law.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al Muslim, His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Shabib Al Attiyah, and His Excellency Mr. Yousef bin Ali Al Khater, members of the Shura Council.
