The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Parliamentary Friendship Group between the State of Qatar and the French Republic at the Shura Council, under the chairmanship of HE Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri - member of the Council and President of Group - convened with HE President of the French National Assembly Yael Braun-Pivet, as part of the special visit paid by the Parliamentary Friendship Group to the French National Assembly.

The meeting discussed a number of topics related to boosting joint cooperation and coordination between the Shura Council and the French National Assembly.
The two sides stressed the need to intensify mutual visits and coordinate parliamentary positions on issues of priority for both sides.

During the visit, the Qatar-France Parliamentary Friendship Group attended part of a session for the French National Assembly, and was briefed on the mechanisms of work flow and holding sessions and meetings.

The Qatar-France Parliamentary Friendship Group also toured the Assembly's building, during which Jean-Baptiste Leclerc, the advisor and head of the cooperation and bilateral issues Department, gave a presentation on the French National Assembly's cooperation programs.
