The Shura Council State of Qatar

 HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met Wednesday with a delegation from the Senate of the Italian Republic, headed by HE Luca De Carlo, the President of the Permanent Commission of the Senate of the Italian Republic for Agriculture, Tourism, Industry, and Agricultural Food Production, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the Shura Council reiterated his condemnation of the ongoing aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the unarmed Palestinian people, emphasizing that the continuation of the aggression and the persistence in killing innocents contributes to fueling violence and terrorism, widening the gap between peoples.

In this context, the Italian delegation praised the efforts of the State of Qatar in achieving international security and peace, as well as its efforts to reach a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting also discussed several issues related to the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, particularly the parliamentary cooperation areas and ways to enhance it.

The meeting was attended by several members and officials of the Shura Council and HE Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the State of Qatar Paolo Toschi.
