The Shura Council chairs a Gulf coordination meeting on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Cooperation Conference in Rabat

The State of Qatar, represented by the Shura Council, chaired the coordination meeting of the Gulf Parliamentary Group, on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Conference on South-South Cooperation, held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, during the period from February 15-16.

The Shura Council was represented at the meeting and chaired by Her Excellency Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, Deputy Speker of the Council and head of the Council’s delegation participating in the conference.

During the meeting, the conference agenda items were reviewed, viewpoints were exchanged, and coordination and unification of Gulf positions regarding them was emphasized. The participants in the meeting also agreed to hold a meeting that brings together the Gulf legislative councils and the Latin parliamentary unions, in implementation of the decision of the seventeenth meeting of Their Excellencies the Presidents of the Legislative Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which Doha hosted during the month of November of last year, to hold coordination meetings that precede the meetings. For international and regional forums.

The Shura Council delegation participating in the work of the conference participated in the meeting, headed by Her Excellency Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Council, and they are: His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Hassan Al-Dhabet Al-Dosari, His Excellency Mr. Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Obaidan, and His Excellency Mr. Issa bin Arar Al-Rumaihi, members of Shura Council.
