The Shura Council Participates in PUIC Emergency Webinar on Gaza

The Shura Council participated in the emergency webinar of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (PUIC) addressing the dangerous developments in Gaza and the Palestinian Territories.
HE Shura Council member Khalid bin Ahmed Al Obaidan represented the Shura Council at the emergency webinar.
Participants condemned the Israeli occupation's aggression against the brotherly Palestinian people, stressing that the Palestinian cause is the principle cause of the Arab and Muslim worlds, from which there is no deviation or compromise.
Participants also called upon the international community to act urgently to oblige the Israeli occupation to stop its blatant violations of international law and to force it to respect international legitimacy resolutions and the historical rights of the Palestinian people, in addition to putting an end to the targeting of Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the occupied territories.
They also emphasized that peace is conditioned by restoring the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and guaranteeing the right of return, among others.
