A member of the Qatari-German Friendship Group in the Shura Council meets with German parliamentarians

His Excellency Mr. Badi bin Ali Al Badi, a member of the Shura Council, a member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Qatar and Germany in the Council, who is currently visiting the Republic of Germany, held a number of meetings with members of the German Parliament “Bundestag”, within the framework of the existing parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the German Parliament.

Within this framework, His Excellency Al-Badi met with His Excellency Mrs. Katrin Buda, Chairman of the Culture and Media Committee, His Excellency Mrs. Renata Alt, Chairman of the German Parliament’s Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee, His Excellency Mr. Thomas Rovakamp, His Excellency Mr. Michael Müller, His Excellency Mr. Alexander Radwan, and His Excellency Mr. Oliver Grundmann and His Excellency Mr. Christoph Blöss, Members of the German Parliament.

During these meetings, which were held separately, a number of issues related to the existing bilateral relations between the Shura Council and the German Parliament and ways to strengthen them were reviewed, and a number of issues were also discussed within the framework of common interest for both sides.

During the meetings, German parliamentarians also praised the efforts of the State of Qatar to bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, and the mediation efforts made by Doha in the prisoner exchange file between Hamas and Israel.
