The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Shura Council participated today in the 10th meeting of the GCC–European Parliamentary Committee, organized by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) via videoconference.
The Shura Council was represented at the meeting by H.E. Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Secretary-General of the Shura Council.
During the meeting, participants discussed mechanisms for cooperation between the legislative councils of the GCC Member States and the European Parliament, and reviewed the paper on common GCC issues and the objectives sought through such cooperation. They also discussed a proposal to issue a joint media statement and reviewed the outcomes of the meetings held by the GCC Secretary-General with the President of the European Parliament and the Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with the Arabian Peninsula.
