Appointed as a Member of the Shura Council in the Second Legislative Term pursuant to Amiri Decision No. (42) of 2025, issued on 9 October 2025.
Currently serves as a Member of the Committee on Health, Public Services and the Environment, and a Member of the Committee on Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Media.
Dr. Al-Fadala has been a faculty member at Qatar University since 2001. He has held several leadership positions at the University, including:
Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, College of Engineering (2005).
Dean of the College of Engineering (2006–2008).
Director of the Gas Research Center (2007–2008).
Vice President for Academic Affairs (2017).
He has also held executive roles in major national companies such as Qatari Diar, Barwa Real Estate, and Qatar Project Management, where he oversaw various developmental and consultancy projects.
He has collaborated with leading local and international oil and gas companies. He also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida, USA (1999–2001).
Dr. Al-Fadala is a recipient of the “Distinguished Engineer Award” and was inducted into the Frank Dotterweich College of Engineering Hall of Fame at Texas A&M University–Kingsville (2017).
